Want to buy a Sony Vaio Zoom laptop with holographic screen?

Than for sure you have to wait, 'cause above super-nifty-laptop with holographic screen is still a concept..

The idea is great! The holographic technology is compressed into a thin glass, which acts as the screen. After a hard day of work, you switch it off and the screen will go completely transparant and the keyboard turns opaque.

The whole holographic idea is great, fits the future perfectly. Great for advertising, great for home entertainment, great for presentations and so on, but will it ever be suitable for a laptop?

I don't think so. The best men next, or acrossed you can see (mirrored) exactly what you are doing. And if you are playing a game of solitair that is quite okay, but do you want that man (or the world) to see your private stuff? Working out a marketing strategy for your job, see the emails you receive, see what websites you visit and so on..it is not ahhhh....ideal!

Yeahh...the holographic idea is cool, but it wont work for a laptop...

Radiohead - In Rainbows [2007] Buy the cd at any price?

Fans choose their price for new album. Which is absolutely mindblowing-great-idea. How come no-one else thought about it for let's say 7 years back?

In an age where digital music sales outweigh those of physical sales, Radiohead made a bright step regarding digital music. Last sunday Radiohead announced that they will sell their new album, "In Rainbows" via their website. Well, so far so good. Nothing new around here. The catch (which is great marketing)? The fans decide what they want to pay for the new album! They can even opt to pay nothing (True fan my arse :) ).

The album is currently in two forms; One will be a digital download in which the customer will be able to name their own price, and the other is a "discbox" which includes the In Rainbows CD, a bonus CD from the recording sessions, a vinyl edition of In Rainbows contained in two vinyl records, and a hardcover book.

For now Radiohead might consider adding some web-techies to their staff. After the opening of the pre-sale, the website crashed as many fans logged on the website. No worries though..site is up and running, so hop on down to radiohead.com and get that cd..

Curious which band/artist might do the same...

Want to buy the brand new Zune 2.0? Here some facts..

Looks flashy doesn't it? Microsoft just announced its next-generation of Zunes.

Ready for some facts?

The larger Zune 2.0 will sport an 80GB harddrive, a 3.2-inch screen at a price of $249 (€176). The Zune nano Flash Zune will come in 4GB and 8GB in a few colors and will be priced at $149 (€ 105) and $199 (€ 140) respectively. Good pricing, especially with the dollar doing not so great. Your big Zune 2.0 is only going to be available in black, the smaller Flash Zune will come in black, green, pink and red. Just as the picture above.
The biggest changes to the Zune include a touch-sensitive wheel not unlike the one found on the iPod. You’ll also be able to sync your Zune with your PC any time it is within range of your home wireless network. Another added bonus is the addition of support for h.264 and MPEG4 videos.

Want to apply for a creditcard?

Be aware your taking up a big responsibility getting a creditcard. How come so manny people don't realise that? Banks try to suck students in a never-ending debt, by seduce them with free food, gifts and so on. In my opinion this is a crime. Read this article and you will be flabergasted; "Selling Students into Credit-Card Debt"

Now citibank receives baaad publicity, they act as if their nose bleeds. Nevertheless creditcards can be handy, but make sure you get one for the right reason, eand bear in mind the following:

  • When making purchases and charging them to your new credit card, I would recommend doing so only if you are certain that you can pay off the balance in full at the end of the billing cycle when your statement arrives in the mail. Using discipline will ensure that you don't end up with a high credit card balance that you can't pay off, and therefore have to pay costly interest payments on the balance.
  • Be sure that you always make your payments on time. If a circumstance arises where you don't receive the bill in time to make your payment, simply call your credit card customer service number and inform them that the bill arrived late and payment is on the way. Typically, they'll make sure to waive any late fees that would have been charged and note the account as not being late.

Hopefully this brief article has given you some helpful things to keep in mind as you're applying for your next credit card. Remember, use your credit responsibly!

Want to go to Thailand?

I've been to South Thailand six months after the Tsunami hit South East Asia. The Tsunami has scared many travelers from returning to this Paradise in Asia. That is a tragic loss for those who fear this because it is safe and better then before.

Due to the lack of tourists the bargains on Hotels and items have never been so great a deal. The only downfall is having to stay in BKK over night before flying into Phuket. The flight is short and once you fly Thai Air you won't fly any other! There is so much to do and see all over the Island, you will not have enough time to see it all in one trip. A must visit is Chalong temple and take in the sights along with the history. Help yourself as well as the people of Phuket and travel there. You will indeed return as you will become part of the Island as much as it becomes a part of you.

Take advantage of traveling all over, and see the many wonders. The people are nice and friendly. The beach is a sight that words can't explain but has to be felt to truly appreciate. The sunsets draws you to the beaches where Heaven sets each day.

The Seafood is the best, it is so fresh you pick it live from the tanks and you can have it prepared any way you can think of. Leave plenty of space in your suit case as you will indeed be buying many items from all over the Island to bring back. It is a shoppers paradise as well!

Want to buy the Ipod Touch? Pretty narly..

Yes, yes..Here she is, the iPod touch! Definitely thinner than the iPhone, and looks completely solid. Just pretty

Apple kicks off with: "The revolutionary iPod touch puts entertainment — and the Internet — at your fingertips". I am still sceptical about the touch-screen-idea. How sensitive is it for day to day use, and when will it wear out? How does it suit people with large hands? And what about sweaty, greasy hands, does it still operates normally?

Since it launche in June, nothing has been reported regarding disfunctional touch-screens yet. And though I love the look, and actually wanted to buy it right away, I am going to wait. I sit out for a year or so, just to see if anything pops up.

Anyone out there who would like to share their experience?
